Apparently the republicans don’t hold a monopoly on a culture of corruption. ABC News did an investigation into Florida Rep. Tim Mahoney and his alleged paying off of his former mistress. It must have pained Ms Pelosi to sick the ethics committee on him but she did. We’’ll see how this turns out. I wonder if there will be calls for his resignation as has been previously requested of tainted congressmen.

Apparently it is a part of the culture of corruption when Republicans do it, but it is legal and just when she does it. She seems to have a very convenient attitude regarding corruption.

Like most problems, this one has been coming for a while
In this post, you will see an analysis I have seen before. It is out there in several forms. Most are using it to place blame on one political party or another. This posting simply lays it at the government’s feet. Of course the people taking mortgages on houses they could never afford should take the blame as well. Along with the mortgage brokers and real estate agents and even Home builders that sold and profited off of this mess.

Clock Ticking on Dems' 100-Hour Agenda | World Latest | Guardian Unlimited
So do I get to stop the clock when I want? When someone says the first 100 hours, shouldn't it mean 100 hours. I thought the 100 hour agenda was more about you come in at 8:00 and go home at 5:00, that is 8 hours including a 1 hour lunch. but I guess I should have clocked out when I went to the bathroom..... That wasn't on my agenda so it doesn't count.

So the inhabitants of Samoa do not deserve a minimum wage, but the inhabitants Northern Mariana Islands, for the first time are covered by the federal minimum wage. I do not necessarily agree with the minimum wage but I think if we are going to apply it to US territories, we should apply it evenly.
